Paki Lawu
Project CPT
Johannesburg → Cape Town · 1 076 km · 30 days
The Why
A run with
a reason.
On 20 November 2026 Paki Lawu leaves Johannesburg on foot and doesn't stop until Cape Town — roughly a marathon and a half, every day, for thirty days. Every kilometre raises awareness and funds for CANSA, with a focus on prostate cancer and early screening for men.
“I lost my grandfather to cancer. Now I'm running across South Africa in his honour.”
Paki Lawu · Founder & runner
Movember, on purpose
The run launches in the heart of Movember — putting men's health front and centre while the country is already talking about it.
In aid of CANSA
Confirmed cause partner. Funds go toward prostate cancer awareness and getting men screened early, when it still matters.
Thirty days of jeopardy
Will he make it? That question, answered daily for a month, is what turns a run into a story the whole country follows.
Every town is a stage
Locals are invited to run stretches alongside Paki. The finish in Cape Town becomes a public arrival.

Before
the road.
The build-up: the early mornings, the long weekend legs, the kit and the crew. From 20 November this becomes the daily record of the run itself.

On Board
Already moving.
A confirmed cause partner, plus nutrition, transport and hydration. The apparel and retail slot is the one still open — and it's the most visible one.
Thirty days of daily content, a national route, and a finish-line moment built as a public event — with a projected 4–5 million campaign impressions. If your brand belongs on this road, there's still a seat.
